Invisible Cities; a CD of moving electronic and ambient tracks, rythmic drum and bass lines with an evolutionary trance/techno soundscape.

His 4th album to date is a locally, professionally produced, CD of folk rock, native, and celtic music written to honor his mountain home.

Included are well balanced drums, talented guitar picking, rich vocals, and the beautiful harmonies of Kaitlin Durham's violin and fiddle. Ian Cunningham is featured on a few tracks as well providing superb percussion rythms and effects.

Song titles include;

1.) Highland Sunrise: about waking up after a cold, sleepless, beautiful, winter, mountain night...alone?

2.) Brother Wolf: title track dedicated to Spencer's Cherokee brother, Waya Gunaheeda, and all the adventures they have shared together in local forests and distant jungles.

3.) Way of the Scout : instrumental track that calls to mind visions of a lone wilderness warrior.

4.) Ferncliff : mellow guitar groove first recorded on Ferncliff Drive, Asheville NC

5.) Yonder Cove : crunchy rock groove and funny story of local moonshiner.

6.) Walnut Ridge : World class instrumental duet for acoustic guitar and violin, inspired by and written at Walnut Ridge farm

7.) Sacred Land : Captures Spencer's sadness at a lifelong observation of the destruction of his favorite country refuges, creeks, and fields, to be replaced with big houses and an isolated, unobservant people

8.) Lady Rosa : 'Chris Issacs'-like lamenting love story about two westward souls

9.) Winter Squash In Bloom : Virtuoso electric and acoustic guitars featuring Ian Cunningham on hand drum, this celtic relative has won awards at UNC-A Headwaters program. In honor of the great Winter Squash, which Spencer once lived on for months.

10.) Kaitlin's Song : Inspired by Nickel Creek, a fiddle and violin solo that stirs the soul

11.) One Million Marching Moms : expresses Spencer's frustrations at motherhood being used as a political weapon to disarm the American citizen, dedicated to well intentioned pawns of today's rising fascism

12.) Wadi Heewah : Traditional style song sung entirely in Cherokee!

A Golden World

This CD is a 40+ minute single track of electronic and orchestral samples built around the mathematics of the ancient Phi ratio. 1.618 is a number found throughout historical works from around the world, and is often uncovered in nature as a symbol of beauty and balance. The piece begins with strings and low bass, continues into a piano concerto recorded live and concludes with an ethereal pad/string. The chords, accents, and individuals notes are all related to one another via the 1.618 ration also known as Phi. This cd was originally produced for an organization in southwest USA for projecting into space as a universal language. Spencer just digs the tune for relaxing and waking up in the morning.

SiO2 Geo

A continuation of the invisible cities theme with longer tracks. More evolutionary in nature as the tunes rise and fall and morph over time bringing in subtle harmonic and effects changes over a continuous deep house and trance groove. Another epic creation that won't disappoint you! Spencer creates many of the sounds you hear through synthesis and sampling and enjoys layering original sounds in rythm and harmony. Great workout music.
